Full Description

NF76SE 13 7908 6202.

(NF 7908 6202) The remains of an island dun near the SE shore of Loch Mor, Baleshare, consist of a heap of stones connected to the shore by a causeway. The island, possibly artificial (RCAHMS 1928), is about 40ft in diameter and stands just above water-level. (E Beveridge 1911)
RCAHMS 1928; E Beveridge 1911

Nothing of antiquity is recognisable on this island, although the causeway and stones may indicate the former existence of a dun.
Visited by OS (J T T) 31 May 1965.
