Full Description
NF76SE 8 centred 784 616.
(Area : NF 784 616) Crois Mor, 300 yards N of Teampull Chriosd (NF76SE 3), is supposed to have been a sanctuary limit.
E Beveridge 1911.
The siting evidence given by E Beveridge is insufficent to select a particular stone from the many in the area. Local people understand the name 'Crois Mor' to apply loosely to the mound at c.NF 783 616, on which stands a modern cairn, constructed c.1908, having no connection with a sanctuary.
Visited by OS (J T T) 7 June 1965.
