Full Description
NF77SE 8 centred 794 744.
(Area : NF 794 744) The promontory Ard a'Phuind, Malaclett, is the traditional site of some ancient building. Foundations of curved and straight walls still remain here, but are considered by Beveridge to be of no special importance.
E Beveridge 1911.
NF 7932 7443 An almost square (7.0m x 7.0m) structure of no great age occupies a low hillock at the end of the promontory: there is no evidence of antiquity here or in the vicinity.
Visited by OS (W D J) 24 June 1965.
This appears on the ground to be the remains of a pre-Clearance house and kail yard of the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century. MML
