Full Description

NF77SW 17 7206 7041.

The settlement at Penmore (NF 72 70), ruins of which can still be traced, is mentioned in 1666 and, as Peighinn Mhoire, in 1694.
The date of its depopulation is unknown.

Only the remains of the three buildings, not of great age, shown as roofed on the OS 6"map, can be seen at Penmore (NF 7206 7041). No other buildings were seen in the vicinity.
