In 1915, there was only a shapeless heap of stones remaining of Dun Fhearchair. It was 45ft in diameter and 4ft high, lying at the end of a promontory on the west shore of Loch an Dun Fheorchiar.
RCAHMS 1928.

The remains, described above, are now only 10.0m in diameter and too slight for survey.
Visited by OS (R D) 26 May 1965.
