Full Description

NF85NE 14 8948 5855.

At NF 8948 5855, on a grassy tidal islet, there are the possible remains of an oval dun, with walling 1.3m thick and 0.9m maximum height, which has been mutilated by coastal erosion. The wall is constructed of large unhewn stones, and skirts the island at HWMOST. There is no causeway. Visited by OS (N K B) 3 June 1965.

MS notes on OS cards suggest that one of NF85NE 13, 14 or 15 may be equated with RCAHMS 1928, Inventory... Outer Hebrides p.59, No. 188.
The location cited by RCAHMS fits best with NF85NE 14, and the size indicated on the divorced survey plan agrees with that recorded by RCAHMS
