Full Description

NF86NE 2 8889 6609.

(Area : NF 891 662) A small narrow islet, 100 yards to the south of Eilean Dubh in loch Deoravat, although now not exceeding 2 to 3 yards in width, shows some evidence of a wall along its north edge. There are also indications of a semicircular enclosure extending under water on its south. A causeway connects it to the shore on the west.
E Beveridge 1911.

This heather-covered islet, measuring 12.0m E to W by 3.5m transversely and situated 10.0m from the west shore of Loch Deoravat at NF 8889 6609, contains no definite traces of a dun.
The alleged wall on the N side, and the enclosure to the S, are apparently natural rock formations.
The short causeway is visible as a vague scatter of stones, also probably natural.
