Full Description
NF86NW 11 8490 6994.
(NF 8490 6994) A long narrow island (the westernmost of a pair) near the western extremity of Loch Scadavay is said locally to have been approached by a causeway, although Beveridge was unable to verify this. The island has steep sides and a flattish top and has been walled all round close to the water's edge. This 5ft wall has three boat entrances, two at the north (one leading into a small harbour) and the other at the south.
E Beveridge 1911.
There are no signs of antiquity to be seen of this island.
Visited by OS (J T T) 8 June 1965.
