NF86NW 36 8335 6389,

(Area: NF 836 639) Foundations of a ruined enclosure 22ft in diameter with walls 4ft thick are situated on Redcalf Island to the mid-south of Orasay and not far from the kelp-works.

NF 8335 6389. Only the remains of some shieling-type structures seen on the island, the only island in the area showing signs of occupation.
The name 'Redcalf Island' is not known locally.
