15 April 1975. A large obstruction set in the mud of Stornoway Harbour is reported. It is rectangular in shape and rounded at one end. It measures about 40 x 20 metres. The site is shown at 58 12 39N, 006 23 23.5W on aerial photographs.
3 March 1976. The site is shown as a hulk at 58 12 39N, 006 23 23.5W on the fair sheet of the survey dated June/October 1975.

12 October 1976. An obstruction is noted lying 030 degrees [true] and 10 metres from the charted position. It is reported to be the lower hull of a coaling barge, cut in half, lying with its keel on an orientation of 000/180 degrees. The dimensions are 24.3 metres x 9.1 metres. approximately. The highest part of the wreckage is at the northern end, being 1.5 metres above the seabed. This end of the wreck dries at low water and could be a danger to small boats.

9 October 1991. The hulk is not visible on aerial photographs dated 1987/88.
3 February 1993. The hulk has been removed.
