The steamship MACEDONIER was built in 1921, and was torpedoed and sunk by German submarine U96, whilst en-route from Halifax to the Tees carrying 6800tons of phosphate. It was owned at time of loss by CIE. Maritime Belge (Lloyd Royal) Soc. anon.
