Full Description

(NF 8064 7566) Skellor (NR) (Burial Ground)
OS 6'map, Inverness-shire, 2nd ed., (1904)

Skellor graveyard is situated upon a sandhill at the edge of Machair Leathann. It is still in occasional use and was once probably associated with a chapel, of which there are no remains.
E Beveridge 1911.

Skellor burial ground, as described above, is still used occasionally. No trace of a chapel could be found.
Visited by OS (R D) 16 June 1965.

Private cemetery, very much built up within the enclosing fence, and probably based upon a settlement mound. Brick bunker in cemetery (WWI?). J. MacLetchie 6.12.99

Non-diagnostic hand-made pottery, probably Iron Age, and shells, from rabbit holes indicate that this cemetery is founded on a settlement mound, as one would expect. MML 2000
