Full Description

NF87SE 16 8723 7154.

(Area : NF 871 716) An islet close to the north of Eilean Mossam, Loch Fada, shows evidence of fortification, the entire surface being enclosed by a wall which is still traceable at many points. There is a boat-entrance on its NE.
E Beveridge 1911.

The island at NF 8723 7154, measuring 23.0m x 16.0m, is grass-covered. There is now no trace of walling apart from a few stones around the edge of the island and Beveridge may have confused the natural rock for walling. No trace of a boat-entrance or causeway could be seen.
Visited by OS (R D) 21 June 1965.
