Full Description

NF 885 737. Mr Archibald MacDonald unearthed a large vessel of late 'Wheelhouse' type (now in National Museum of Antiquities, Edinburgh) together with a wooden ladle while cutting peats at a point 150 yards west of the dun at Loch an Duin. They lay at a depth of 2 1/2 to 3 feet in a pit 2 1/2ft in diameter which had apparently been covered over with turves.
