Full Description

NF87SE 9 8598 7221.

(Area : NF 863 719) A group of eight large and somewhat shapeless stones bearing some resemblance to a stone circle are situated upon Brogach Maari, a mound 60ft x 35ft and possibly artificial, midway between Barpa nam Feannag and Buaile Maari. Five of the stones lie in or near the base of the mound and three in line along its centre.
E Beveridge 1911.

The eight stones described above are NF 8598 7221 and form a natural setting despite the fact that five of them tend towards a rough circle. The heather-covered mound enclosed by the stones is composed of peat. Visited by OS (N K B) 18 June 1965.
