NF88SE 5 centred 85 81.

Three Viking-type pins from Boreray, are in the NMAS. Two of them (GT 238-9) are similar to an example from Heisker, Nth Uist(2); while the third is undecorated and ringless (GT 240) (A O Curle, M Olsen and H Shetelig 1954) (These pins may be referable to the settlement site near An Corran (NF88SE 1) where many pins of medieval date and earlier have been found).

15. RMS GT 241. Mushroom-headed pin, of type attributed to 5th and 6th centuries AD, but continuing in use later.
38. RMS GT 242. Pin of ball- or bead-headed type; this example has an acorn-shaped head with hatching.
41. RMS GT 243. Double bead-headed pin; the upper bead is larger than the lower and has incised lines on the shoulder.
47. RMS GT 244. Frustrum-headed pin of probable Viking period type.
