Full Description
NF96NW 1 9042 6864.
(NF 9042 6864) A flat and almost circular island, possibly representing the site of a dun, is situated in the NE corner of Loch nan Geireann. There are slight traces of a wall at its S edge and an irregular row of stones between it and the E shore of the loch, probably represents a causeway.
E Beveridge 1911.
This grass-covered island, measuring 10 x 9.0m and now contains no trace of walling. The possible causeway is no more than an irregular scatter of stones, some of which protrude above the water, and may be natural. Visited by OS (R B) 24 June 1965.
