Full Description

NF96NW 8 9103 6789.

(Area: NF 909 670) A slight mound with some very large stones lying on its surface situated on a northern spur of Stromban, is probably the site of an old structure of some kind.
E Beveridge 1911.

No trace of any features other than some recent depopulated structures, was seen at Stromban. Beveridge is probably referring to some large stones on a slight mound at the end of the small promontory at NF 9103 6789 which appear to be natural, but may be the remnants of old shielings.
Visited by OS (W D J) 24 June 1965.
