NF97SE 12 950 724
Probing around a stone feature partially exposed in the face of a peat cutting located a linear stone bank some 25m in length and 1m to 1.2m wide. Peat had already begun developing in the locality when the cairn was constructed and, along one stretch, the stones were piled over a small peat bank. Differences in the profiles of test-pits dug on either side of the cairn suggest that cultivation was taking place to the West of the cairn.
