At the foot of a precipice to the SW of the summit of Crogary na Hoe, at an elevation of 400ft OD, is a small cave or rock-shelter about 10ft square and barely 3ft high. Some 12ft in front of the recess on the north and east sides of a tumbled mass of rock are two hut circles, the most northerly measuring some 6ft in diameter, and the other, which lies some 10ft to the SE, about 8ft across. The latter is more clearly defined and shows an entrance from the south-east 1ft 6ins wide. In a cavity under the rock which forms the western part of the latter structure are a mass of limpet shells and a few animal bones. No pottery was seen.
RCAHMS 1928, visited 22 July 1914.
