Full Description
NF97SW 4 9100 7001.
(Area NF 9107 00) On a promontory at the SE corner of Loch na Buaile, close to the remains of a modern dwelling is a mound which possibly represents a prehistoric site; fragments of crude pottery having been found there.
E Beveridge 1911.
The mound at NF 9100 7001, close by the remains of a modern building, appears to be the remains of several buildings which stand on a small natural hillock; but the remains are too amorphous to make anything out of them. Several other building fragments can also be seen in the area. No further information was encountered concerning the potsherds found, or of this being a pre-historic site.
Visited by OS (R D) 30 June 1965.
