All traces of defensive works have disappeared.
RCAHMS 1928.

Not a dun but a roughly circular turf-covered mound, c. 14.0m in diametere and 2.0m high, on top of which are a number of loose stones. Probably a cairn, though no definite cairn-like features can be seen, and its position, on a tidal islet, is unusual.
