Full Description

NF98SE 4 977 843.

NF 977 843. A midden, with the usual deposits, and one bronze pin and one bone pin were found on Killegray Island, Sound of Harris. Exact date uncertain but Dark Ages to Early Medieval.
The pins have been returned to the finder (unnamed). They were sent to NMAS by a local informant who also reported stones, possibly remains of hut circles.

6. Small bag of shells, containing scallop, oyster, limpet, winkle and periwinkle. Found by Dr Mary Harman from 'Killegray Upper Site'.
7. Iron ?rivet head found by Dr Mary Harman from 'Killegray Harris top site'.
8. Small bag of three pottery base sherds found by Dr Mary Harman from 'Killegray Harris Upper Site'.
9. Small bag of twelve pottery rim sherds found by Dr Mary Harman from 'Killegray Upper Site'.
10. Small bag of three pieces of flint waste found by Dr Mary Harman from 'Killegray Upper Site'.
