NF98SW 16 centred 91 82.

Objects (now in the NMAS) found in Berneray, the actual find-spots of which are not known, are as follows:- An oval plate of cetacean bone with edge perforations; a four-sided pointed implement of cetacean bone; a bone pin; an object of bone resembling an imperfect whistle; pieces of course pottery; part of a small iron shouldered pin with ring-head. All are from kitchen-middens (PSAS 1915).
A bronze flat-headed pin 4 1/16 ins long (PSAS 1915). A bone pin, 2 1/2ins long with coulter-shaped head; a pointed bone object 2 1/8ins long (PSAS 1922). A stone whorl, 1 7/16 ins x 1 3/8ins in cross diameters and 9/16 ins thick (PSAS 1930).
Some of the above probably came from the sites:- NF88SE 10; NF98SW 11 & 13.

RMS FC 139 Crutch-headed pin with incised lines on polygonal head and on shoulder.
RMS FC 232 Disc-headed pin with fillets below the head and probably of the Viking period. The head of this example bears irregular incised or scratched lines.
