9m north of lade 1, alongside a partially canalised stream feeding into the west side of the lade to the south, lay the remains ofa sub-rectangular mill (Mill 2). Constructed of drystone gneiss boulders, the walls stood up to 0.9m high and 0.6m thick, meausring 4.7m east to west and 4.4m north to south. An internal subcircular wheelhouse measured 2m across, with a through channel from northeast to southwest measuring up to 0.5m wide. Feeding into the mill 2 was a second, embanked late (late 2) running on a curvilinear alignment to the northeast for 10.13m to terminate at NB 05546 32975, where it connected with the stream snaking through the entire complex of mills.
