NB10SW 9 centred on 128 030

A township comprising sixteen roofed buildings, four of which are long buildings and one is L-shaped, six unroofed buildings, eleven enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1881, sheet x). The head-dyke is joined to that of the township of Cul-na-h-aird (NB10SW 10) to the S.
Twenty-four roofed, three partially roofed, ten unroofed buildings, several enclosures, some field walls and part of a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

Balds 1805 map depicts a settlement within a head dyke located on the south side of the bay and river (in reality west side of the river). Current AP's show many structures depicted on the 6" 1st edition map sheet, remaining as ruins.
