An unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1882, sheet xxii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 18 March 1997

Balds map indicates a small settlement at this location, annotated 'Bounentrue'. Current AP's indicate a blackhouse type ruin on the small headland and series of square & rectangular land divisions, enclosures or fields systems? A boat naust is located on the south side of the bay and a cleared channel is visable in the tidal zone for boat access to the shore. Several stone wall features and a possible fish trap are also visible in the tidal zone. This site would benefit from a site visit.
