A township comprising sixteen roofed, four unroofed buildings, nine enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1881, sheet xix). Twenty-nine roofed, one partially roofed, ten unroofed buildings, several enclosures and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

Balds map (1805) depicts a small settlement on the southern part of the bay enclosed by a boundary, annotated 'Druineshadder'.
