One roofed and one unroofed building are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1882, sheet xxii), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 18 March 1997
Kyles House is a relitively modern building with the structures identified above, located to the west. Additionally, depicted on the 1st ed OS, located to the south is a farmstead annotated 'Hushinish House' with an associated series of enclosed fields and three other rectangular buildings; all buildings are roofed.
Balds map shows that this area was formerly occupied by a pre-clearance settlement, annotated 'Kulestiadder'. The settlement is depicted as a cluster of buildings with an outlier to the south and a boundary enclosing the the small headland.
Current AP's show extensive cultivation ridgeing across the area with some of the earlier settlement visible (the two structures - RCAHMS), as well as all the later structures, Hushinish House now being renamed Kyles Lodge. This area would benefit from field survey.
