A township comprising four unroofed buildings, one of which is T-shaped, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, North Uist etc. 1882, sheet xxxv). Five unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 21 April 1997

An additional roofed farmstead with annotated 'sheepfold' is also present on the 6" 1st OS map sheet and is located opposite Vallaquie Island. This building is now a ruin but retains walls and gable ends to full height. Remains of an earlier building are visible in the ground, close to the southeastern gable.
