A farmstead comprising one unroofed, three roofed buildings and two enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, North & South Uist etc. 1880, sheet xlv). Three unroofed buildings and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).

unroofed 19th century buildings on a small hummock at the north end of the island of Flodda at NGR NF 8390 5565. One roofless cottage, measuring 7m by 4m and aligned northwest to the southeast, had a door and two windows on the northeast side and one window on the southwest side, and both galbes intact to 4m in height. Its long walls survvived to 2m, with a fireplace in the northwest short wall and a blocked counterpart in the opposite souteast wall. The structure was mostly composed of rough-hewn drstone gneiss blocks, but patches of both mortar and harling were evident in places. The cottage was accompnaied by three small, square animal pens, each measuring 5m x 5m, and positioned to the north of the cottage.
