A farmstead comprising one unroofed, one roofed building and an enclosure is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, North & South Uist etc. 1880, sheet xlv). One unroofed building and an enclosure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 7 May 1997

a ruined dwelling on the west coast of Flodda island at NGR NF 8412 5523 was positioned 20m north of the causeway linking Flodda with Benbecula. Walls surviving to 0.3m in height and 0.6m in width formed a rectangle measuring 7m x 4m, aligned northwest to wouth east. They were composed of undressed gneiss boulders and were largely grassed-over.
