A crofting township comprising forty-three roofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a Free Church, three partially roofed buildings and eleven unroofed buildings, and a head-dyke are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, South Uist 1881, sheet xlvi). Twenty-eight roofed, four partially roofed, twenty-two unroofed buildings and the fragmentary remains of a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
