Full Description

NB23SW 67 2174 3310

NB 2175 3310 An archaeological excavation was undertaken during June 1997 in advance of the proposed construction of a new house and access road.
An area of 360 sqm was topsoiled by machine. The entire area was then cleaned by hand. Several lazybedding ditches crossed the trenches, running both E-W and N-S. In addition, one possible clearance cairn was uncovered beside an outcrop of bedrock. The only finds are recent white ceramic sherds.
Detailed reports will be lodged with the NMRS.
