STASSA, ec ZENA ex ENEE, 1685 ton gross steamship. Bound from Archangel to Limerick with a bulk cargo of timber. On 15 July 1966 she ran aground on Renish Point, Harris. She was re-floated the same day and towed into Loch Rodel. She was abandoned by her crew and sank on 17 August. She lies at N57 44.4 W6 58.2 in 20 metres of water. The wreck stands 10 metres above the bottom, which is flat and sandy. She is on her starboard side with the deck to the north and masts and funnel almost horizontal. In June 1982 she was almost intact except for some portholes and exterior fittings [which have been removed by divers]. Much of the timber cargo was still present. Some artifacts appear to be in the bar at Rodel. The Salvage Association has an interest. The source includes illustrated transits for finding the wreck.
