An unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, South Uist etc. 1881, sheet liii) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1970).

Blackhouse type structure with enclosure depicted on Balds map (1805), annotated 'Ru Clack'. Current AP's show an extant ruin with enclosure and naust to NE.
