What may be a crofting township comprising thirty-four roofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a Smithy, thirteen unroofed buildings and several enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Hebrides, South Uist 1881, sheet lv). In the centre of the township are what may be individual plot boundaries denoted by pecked lines.
Twenty-four roofed and seventeen unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1971).
