A township, comprising twenty-five roofed, two of which may be mills (NB53SE 3.01, 3.02), two unroofed buildings, twenty enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1851, sheet 21). The former township has been replaced by a crofting township as shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
