A small group of huts, on an elevated patch of moorland, adjacent to and west of Dun Bhilascleitir.
They are of the same size and construction as those of any any other part of the Lewis, and are not occupied except during the summer season; at which time they are used as shealings and cow houses.

What may be four roofed shieling-huts, two of which are large and of irregular shape are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis Ross-shire 1853, sheet 6). Nine unroofed buildings, four of which are sub-divided are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
