A township, comprising six roofed buildings, one of which is annotated as a 'Ruin', four partially roofed buildings annotated as 'Ruin', four unroofed buildings, ten enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 1). A crofting township comprising twenty roofed, four unroofed buildings and the present crofting field-system are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
