A crofting township, comprising forty-six roofed, three partially roofed, annotated as a ruin, and six unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 3). The boundary dykes may be fragments of the crofts (NB56SW 24.01, 24.02, 24.03). A more extensive crofting township and field-system is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
