Buildings which form part of a crofting township, comprising six roofed buildings and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 3). The size and rectinlinear shape may suggest that these are of recent construction.
Ten roofed and four unroofed buildings adjacent to a road are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
