NB35SE 53.02 centred on 3550 5055

A failed crofting township laid adjacent to three roads, comprises three roofed, twenty-four unroofed buildings and a field-system is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1853, sheet 8). Eleven unroofed buildings and nine enclosures are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974). The northern half of the site is now overlain by the field-system associated with Lower Barvas (see NB35SE 53.03)
