What may be a single unroofed shieling-hut annotated 'Ruin' is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Isle of Lewis Ross-shire 1853, sheet 4). Three unroofed buildings which may be shieling-huts are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

noted on the coastal erosion assessment

This site represents the ruins of a small pre-clearance farmstead with assocaited cultivation ridges running down towards the south and east. There are three idenifiable structures that comprise of turf and stone. This group consists of a sub rectangular oval ended building 6m x 3m, and two smaller features; a 'D' shaped structure and a circular structure.
