What may be a single unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Lewis, Ross-shire 1852, sheet 14), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).
Information from RCAHMS (AKK) 27 June 1997.

This is the old half-way inn between Stornoway and Barabhas. It consists of the robbed, turf-covered ruins of a north-south oriented building. It now has the ruins of a shieling built into its southern end, constructed of the stone from the walls of the inn. Only the turf core of the walls remains, but probing suggests that the stones of the foundation are present below the soil. The shieling building is marked on the present OS map. MML 21.3.2000
