A township comprising six roofed buildings, two of which have outshots, twenty-six unroofed buildings, eighteen of which are annotated as Ruins and two of these are long buildings, and four enclosures is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1851, sheet 28).
This site is located within the modern towns of Upper and Lower Bayble as shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
