A township comprising two roofed buildings, ten unroofed buildings, sevaral of which are annotated as Ruins, two enclosures and a head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 34). Seven unroofed buildings, one enclosure and a head-dyke are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973). A black dot, which may indicate the location of a building, is marked beside two of the unroofed buildings (NB 0339 2139) and all three are annotated as Old Shielings,
