An unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1881, sheet vii), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

The ruin represented on the 1st ed map sheet is likely to represent the remains of the pre- clearance settlement annotated as 'Scalladell' on Balds 1805 map.
