Seven unroofed shieling-huts annotated as Ruins are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1855, sheet 41). Two black dots annotated as Shielings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

Seven unroofed buildings marked as ruins on OS 1st edition map. At NB 23445 09144 are heather covered stone founds of sub-rectangular shieling hut, 4 x 2m externally with walls 0.8m thick and up to 0.6m high. Aligned N-S with opposed entrances at S end, located on grassy shelf on N side of burn.
