Four unroofed buildings annotated as Ruins are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire, Island of Lewis 1854, sheet 38), but they are not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).
Information from RCAHMS (SAH) 9 July 1997
Structure A
This is a rectilinear, building, measuring 4 x 3m externally, opening to the east. The form of the mound on which the building stands suggests thatit may originnaly have been oval, with the eastern end having completely collapsed.
Structure B
This is an oval building, measuring 4 x 3m externally. The walls have collapsed to the south, and there is a mass of tumble within and around the structure.
Structure C
This is an oval building measuring 6 x 4m externally, and oriented north-south with no apparent enterances. This is the best preserved building in the settlement, although the walls have been partly reconstructed in the recent past.
Structure D
This is a rectilinear building, measuring 4 x 3m. This structure is greatly denuded and only the foundation stines are visible embedded within the turf. Although it appears to adjoin structure C, it may well pre-date it.
Structure E,F & G
These are all on the southern bank of the stream, at a slightly higher elevation to the previous structures.
Structure E
This is a rectilinear building, measuring 4 x 3m externally, and has collapsed on the north side.
Stucture F
This is a rectilinear building measuring 4 x 3m externally opening to the north. This is constructed on the edge of an area of scree and boulders at the bottom of the valley slope.
Structure G
This is an oval building, oriented north-south, measuring 5 x 3m externally, with no visible entrances, adjacent to structure F
There are a further four possible sheilings further to the west, up the valley. These are very ephemeral and consist only ofa few embedded stones, in an arc or at best U-shape. Again they utilize the erratic boulders which have fallen from the cliff face above the site. Two lie together at the western end of the scree in the valley to the south. They also measure approximately 2 x 3m externally.
